Friday January 1, 2010
"What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from."

And so 2010 is a beginning and an end for me personally. It's hard to believe that we have just entered a new decade. I started the last one with a breast cancer diagnosis during pregnancy, and have written about the entire experience here on this site. As I look back, I question how almost ten years have already passed.

This site was written for myself as much as for you. At times, the entries were very clear, the process black and white. Sometimes, those words held deeper meaning that only my closest of friends could have interpreted. Finally, there were those moments where it was I alone who understood the depth of what I had written.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I have carefully chosen the image represented on this page for 2010. In it, I see my life. I see the beauty, and I see the pain. I see reflection and peace. And I see so much, much more....

It is time for me to continue to reflect, to grow, to mourn and even to celebrate. However, I must take this journey offline. I will no longer be posting daily updates here. It's time. And in my heart, I know it's the right thing for me to do.

This is not goodbye. Pink Ribbon Miracle will remain as an archived all access website. I want to leave my words here, not only as a reminder of this past decade and a legacy for my daughters, but also in hopes that others may still find this site and perhaps find hope and inspiration, and most importantly, BELIEVE.

I will still be available to you, at any time. I continue to maintain an online presence via social networking as well as text messaging and email. Please feel free to contact me for more information. I look forward to hearing from you, and connecting in new ways.

Pink Ribbon Miracle has been a gift to me. It was quite the commitment to write every single day, but the rewards I received emotionally and the friendships formed were worth every minute, every late night. I hope this site has been a gift to you, as well.

With love and gratitude,
Carolynn
